Happy New Year, dear golfers!

Exactly in this way the greeting at the Pestovo Golf Club sounded on Saturday, May 12, 2018. The season has begun! Officially! What could be better?

Pestovo Golf Club was the first among colleagues to hold the Opening Tournament that traditionally sets the mood for the whole season. Rock-n-Golf – exactly such a mood awaits Club Members and guests in the upcoming season. At the same time the General Partners of 2018 golf season - BCS Ultima Bank and Avilon, The official BMW dealer - will support the high mood with gifts for winners of tournaments, interesting activities and the presentation of the new BMW model range. Official partner of the tournament, Ombria, also prepared beautiful accommodation offers and pleasant prizes for the winners.

Within five hours 92 golfer made appearance on the field and enjoyed a pleasant atmosphere and good company. Emerald green golf course, perfectly trimmed fairways and fast greens, the speed of which was 10.5 – for the season opening the field was ready for a solid “A”! On this day, everything was just fine: clear cloudless sky, comfortable +24C, happy faces of golfers.

High results of all tournament participants showed that in winter time our dear Club Members and Guests practiced a lot.

Andy Tyler has become the absolute winner, he managed the field in 79 strokes and achieved the best result by the number of strokes and the best result in his group of handicaps. Alexander Glavatskikh (57 points of stableford) and Alexei Rakhmanov (50 points) played the field with fantastic results - keep it up this way!

The award ceremony was held in the spirit of rock-n-roll! The cups of the tournament were handed to the winners by the Golf Director of Pestovo Golf Club Stephen Dundas. The nomination "The Best Costume" turned out to be the highlight of the evening. This year a special prize was won by a whole family – it simply did not leave anyone a chance. Vladimir, Yulia Tokunov and their little daughters were in the center of attention. The winners were awarded with a certificate provided by partner Royal Club travel agency for a trip to the Heritage Le Telfair hotel located at Mauritius and Costa Navariono hotel.

That evening the tournament partners were making the prize-winners happy with a variety of gifts. When the evening continued the guests were asked to proceed to a table. The specially made menu from the Pestovo restaurant ensured the delight and satisfaction of the most demanding gourmets. And then there were dances inspired by the hot rhythms of rock-n-roll and enjoyed till the morning!!!
